Webinar: "Best Practices of Excel-Based Compensation". Many Compensation Managers have settled into an arduous and manual process of creating worksheets for line managers to update with recommended merit increases, promotions, market adjustments, LTI, bonuses, etc. Subsequently, to reduce the risk of error associated with a manual process, the compensation department must often spend untold hours auditing and consolidating completed worksheets to ensure managers have not altered formulas or input invalid data. In this presentation you can learn how to optimize your Excel based compensation processes, including:
- How to make workbooks more user friendly and valuable for managers
- How to automatically reduce the risk often associated with manually-input data
- How to help your managers find and fix their own errors and inconsistencies
- How to provide real-time visual summaries to your managers
- How to automate your Excel based process while still leveraging your Excel workbooks

Topic:
"Metrics and Compensation Program Effectiveness" PwC Saratoga will discuss the practical uses of metrics to assess and manage a company's compensation program effectiveness. There is more to compensation measurement and research than just salary survey information. Compensation departments that help their organizations succeed in maximizing the often intangible value of their people will make a significant impact to their stock price and value. To achieve this goal, companies can take two approaches: 1) rely on managements gut feel to ensure people assets are optimized or 2) apply a more rigorous data-driven decision making process for optimizing people assets. Topics to be discussed include: Benchmarking current compensation costs and linking compensation measures to workforce measures. By attending this session, you will have the opportunity to obtain data from Saratoga's most recent benchmarking report publication."
