To attract millennial talent in the United Kingdom, a proper work-life balance is key, according to a new survey by Colliers International and CMS.
The “CEE Office Real Estate Compass: Is Your Workplace Millennial-Ready” report found that 77% of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE)-based professionals think work-life balance is the most important factor in the workplace.
Other factors that rated highly among Millennials seeking ideal employment were salary, development opportunities and location.
“Our study shows employees have fresh expectations of what office environments should deliver. Employees are demanding more flexibility and an environment with a community feel,” “Many organizations are leading the way in creating new office environments.”
Other key data from the report:
- 28% of respondents said they strongly agree that working in a co-working/flexible space is appealing.
- 65% of respondents rarely or never use hot-desking.
- More than 65% said they disagree with the introduction of technology that monitors employee location in office.
